In 1994 they planted the first 50 acres vineyard in Bindabla area ( light-textured sandy loaw soil ). The following expansion of the vineyard was done gradually in the area of Filyria (medium –textured sandy clay soil). Chatzivariti Estate today consists of 120 acres.
The Estate focuses on the local Greek varieties of Roditis Malagousia and Assyrtico for the whites and Xinomavro, Negoska, for the reds but also cultivate the popular Sauvignon Blanc , Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in smaller surfaces.
