Crealto was born in an enchanting corner of Monferrato. Luigi, oenologist, and his wife Eleonora, who has been passionate about wine for many years, chose to leave Genoa to pursue their dream of producing natural wines and enjoy all the aspect that nature has to offer.

They are together with their good friends Andrea and Elisa, (good chefs) managing the farmhouse which is always open to both house and serve travelling guests.

Luigi and Eleonora have a particular love for the ancient grape variety Grignolino and now we do too! The name Grignolino derives from the word "grignole" which means "many pips" in the local Piedmontese dialect of the Asti region. The abundance of pips, or seeds, contribute to the strong, bitter tannins associated with the wine.
