In the heart of Savigny-lès-Beaune in Burgundy lies Domaine Camp-Atthalin, a family-run estate with roots dating back to the 17th century. Today, the domaine is led by brothers Jean-Philippe and Jean-Édouard Camp, who took over the property in 2017 as the 13th generation, bringing new energy and a clear focus on terroir and sustainable viticulture.
The name Camp-Atthalin reflects the family’s heritage and their deep respect for continuity and tradition. The estate covers around 5–7 hectares of vineyards in Savigny-lès-Beaune, where old vines are cultivated with great care and precision. Vineyard work follows organic and biodynamic principles, and each parcel is vinified separately to preserve its individual character.
In the cellar, the brothers practice minimal intervention. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts, and the wines are aged mainly in older oak barrels to emphasize purity and balance rather than oak influence.
The primary focus is Pinot Noir, which here produces elegant, terroir-driven wines marked by freshness and finesse. The white wines, mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, express the same clarity and precision.
Domaine Camp-Atthalin represents a new generation in Burgundy, where tradition and nature-conscious winemaking meet in wines defined by quiet intensity and a strong sense of place.
