19.2.26 · The Many Faces of the Loire
At this year’s first Thursday tasting, we turn our attention to the wonderful winemakers we collaborate with from France’s vibrant and refreshing Loire region.
We begin with a wine from Jean-Baptiste Hardy made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape – a perfect introduction to both the variety and the Muscadet area. No Loire tasting would be complete without Chenin Blanc, so we continue with wines from Antoine and Henri at Clos de l’Epinay and from Mathilde Magne at Terres d’Imaginaire. Next comes the elegant and light red Torpen from Pouce-Pied, made from one of our favourite grapes, Pineau d’Aunis. Finally, we round off the evening with a visit to Domaine des Frères in Chinon to taste their 100% Cabernet Franc.
The tasting begins between 17:00–17:30, lasts approximately 1.5 hours, and costs 300 DKK per person.
There will also be a 20% discount on all the wines tasted during the evening. So come and enjoy five different wines that would easily cost twice as much to experience in a restaurant.
We keep things informal yet informative, and there will of course be plenty of time for all your questions. Each group will be served individually, so there’s no need to worry if you arrive a little late – it’s only your friends who will be waiting for you.
