In the heart of Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, in the village of Premeaux-Prissey near Nuits-Saint-Georges, lies Domaine Truchetet – a family-run estate where a new generation has taken over with deep respect for tradition and terroir. Since 2019, the domaine has been led by siblings Morgan and Julie Truchetet, together with Pauline Genot, continuing the family legacy as the 6th generation.
Morgan Truchetet, a trained oenologist, is responsible for the winemaking, while Julie focuses primarily on vineyard work. Pauline Genot, who is both Morgan’s partner and comes from a winegrowing family herself, plays a key role at the estate, overseeing the business side while increasingly contributing to the direction of the wines.
The domaine spans around 7 hectares of vineyards, many with old vines rooted in classic clay and limestone soils. Farming follows organic principles, certified since 2023, with a strong focus on soil life and biodiversity.
In the cellar, the approach is based on minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentation, gentle extraction, and aging in oak with an emphasis on balance and transparency. The wines – primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – are precise, elegant, and clearly expressive of their terroir.
Alongside the estate, Morgan also runs his négociant project Morgan Truchetet, working with carefully selected fruit, while Pauline has developed her own project, Vignoble de Pauline, based on vineyards in Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses.
