2023, Robert, Domaine Saint Cyr
This wine comes from Chénas, the smallest of Beaujolais’ ten crus, but a place capable of producing Gamay with surprising depth, spice and structure. The fruit comes from three different cru parcels in Chénas, where alluvial soils, granite, sand and silex give the wine both juicy fruit and a more stony, mineral edge. At Domaine Saint-Cyr, Raphaël works organically, using cold carbonic maceration and no added sulphur, resulting in a bright, vibrant and pure Beaujolais with red fruit, floral energy and fine tannins. The name Robert is a tribute to Raphaël’s grandfather, who was the first in the family to sell wine by the bottle.
2024, Feu Follet, Terres d'imaginaire
In Rochefort-sur-Loire in Anjou Noir, Mathilde Magne has created Terres d’Imaginaire as a small, personal project built around the meeting point between soil, freedom and the winemaker’s imagination. Mathilde is both an agronomist and oenologist and has worked with producers including Sylvain Pataille before starting her own winery in 2022, with a focus on Chenin Blanc, terroir and low-intervention winemaking. Feu Follet 2024 is made from Chenin grown on old vines planted in the 1980s on green and grey sandstone schist as well as phtanite. The result is a lively, floral and mineral natural white wine from the Loire, with fresh acidity, pure fruit and the energy that defines Mathilde’s young and curious winery.
2025, Completo Rosé, Carrusin
This wine from Carussin is every bit as charming as the family behind it. For Bruna, Luigi, Matteo and Luca in Monferrato, wine is not only about grapes, but also about the soil, animals, people and the wonderful energy surrounding the farm. The family has a particular love for donkeys and runs the small educational farm “Asinoi, Pane e Coccole”, where their donkeys help create a sense of calm, connection and joy for children and visitors alike. Completo Rosé brings that same spirit to the glass: juicy, light, fruity and completely unpretentious. A wine simply made to be chilled, poured and enjoyed.
