2020, Il Favot, Langhe Nebbiolo

Il Favot is Aldo Conterno's classic Langhe Nebbiolo — a wine made from 100% Nebbiolo that takes its name from the estate's parcels in Bussia, the heart of Piedmont's Barolo country. The grapes come from younger vines (max. approx. 15 years old), which gives the wine a softer tannin structure and accessible fruit, while hand-harvesting, selected maceration and gentle vinification reflect the Conterno family's philosophy of quality over quantity. Although Barolo is the focus of the house, Il Favot is designed as a young, immediately drinkable Nebbiolo with a distinguished sense of terroir.
