20 year old Tawny

Infantado's 20 Year Old Tawny follows the house's old Douro tradition: the wine matures its entire life on the quinta in small and medium-sized barrels, not in the large “lodges” in Vila Nova de Gaia. It works with slow oxidation aging, where barrels from several decades are continuously combined to achieve the house's style — less sweetness, more vinousness and more pronounced terroir than in many commercial tawnys. The long élevage gives a deeper, drier profile that Infantado has been known for since 1816, when they began bottling port wine directly on the quinta before it became common.
