Joannizza is Cantina Furlani's sparkling wine made from Johanniter/Joannita, a rare hybrid grape created in Freiburg in 1968 with Riesling and Gutedel among its parent varieties. It is perfectly suited to Matteo Furlani's work high above Trento, where natural wine, resistant varieties, and the pet-nat method come together in a cool, alpine style. The wine is made with skin contact and natural bottle fermentation without added sugar, making it a rather unique frizzante from Trentino.
