2024, Goruli Mtsvane

Mtsvane is one of Georgia's beautiful local green grapes and is particularly associated with Kartli, where the name means something along the lines of “the green one from Gori”. At Our Wine, the grape is made into an orange wine, where skin contact provides more texture, depth, and spice than one normally expects from the otherwise fresh and floral variety. The wine has citrus, dried flowers, ripe yellow fruit, herbs, and a slight honeyed touch, yet still retains the lean acidity and energy that make Goruli Mtsvane so lively. A Georgian orange wine with both an old-school qvevri feel, low sulfur levels, and plenty of personality.
