Region

Weinviertel

Großengersdorf, where Reini works according to a simple philosophy: “Low Intervention, High Drinkability.”

Parvenü is not the result of generations of winemaking tradition or a classic oenology education. In his day-to-day life, Reini works as a real estate agent, and the project has grown out of a passion for wine, nature and craftsmanship rather than a planned career in the wine industry. It is precisely this outsider role that has given him the freedom to challenge established norms and create wines on his own terms.

The vineyards are farmed in a nature-conscious way in southern Weinviertel, a region historically known for Grüner Veltliner, but today also home to a new generation of natural wine producers. At Parvenü, Reini works with varieties including Welschriesling, Zweigelt, Grüner Veltliner and Blauburger, vinifying them with minimal intervention and great respect for the grapes’ natural expression.

Parvenü is as much a creative project as it is a wine project. The iconic upside-down label design has become a symbol of the desire to turn things on their head and challenge the expectations many people associate with wine. The philosophy is simple: nature sets the direction, while the winemaker’s task is to intervene as little as possible.

The result is wines with freshness, energy and personality — natural wine from Weinviertel, made by hand with curiosity and an uncompromising belief that the best wines often emerge when you dare to do things a little differently.
