Domaine Kleinknecht

France · Alsace · Mittelbergheim

Its a great pleasure importing wine from the Kleinknecht family consisting of André, his wife Isabelle and their two children, Fanny and Jules.

The family's winery produces amazing raw and pure wine made out of local grapes grown in full respect of nature.

They have worked organically since 1999 and biodynamic since 2012, so they know what they are doing.

Their winery is located in a small village called Mittelbergheim with only 655 citizens. The family have lived there for several generations and their wine cellar have contained these joyfull drops since the 17th century. If only walls could talk!

On 9 hectares the Kleinknecht family produces all the typical grapes from Alsace (Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gewurtzraminer, Muscat, Pinot gris, Sylvaner etc.)

The production shows the great diversity Alsacian wines can have with least sugar possible and the family always succeeds in presenting the best of Alsacian grapes.

In 2018 the family began a new adventure when they started producing orange wine and it's already a great success. We have it here at Vintro and you should try it!
